This week at Emma’s Place, we’re celebrating a very special animal: the groundhog!
 Fun Facts About Groundhogs

• Groundhogs are also called woodchucks.
  
• They are excellent diggers and live in burrows underground.
  
• Groundhogs hibernate during winter, sleeping for months until spring.
  
• They are herbivores, which means they mostly eat plants like grass, leaves, and vegetables.
  
• Groundhogs can climb trees and swim surprisingly well!
