During my recent visit to Lima, Peru, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the International Book Fair. It was an incredible experience, especially because I met the talented Peruvian author Carmen Pachas. Carmen has written several children's books that highlight the rich culture and traditions of Peru.

In the early 1950s, a teacher named Kay Zufall and her husband Bob Zufall discovered that the wallpaper cleaner could be used as a modeling compound for children. They introduced it to a local school, where it was well received.
Rebranding: The Zufalls suggested marketing the compound as a children's toy. They convinced Joseph McVicker, nephew of Kutol Products' owner, to rebrand the cleaner as a toy. In 1956, the compound was officially rebranded and marketed as Play-Doh. It was sold initially in one color (off-white), but soon primary colors. #education #kids #kidsstory 3learning #learningkids #techer
