A Year at a Glance It was a hectic year for me; it started with many ideas and plans that have materialized during the year in the different aspects of my professional and personal life.
I added two new English and three Spanish titles and launched the second edition of my book, Lou and His Mane. I had mixed feelings about my Daycare because I decided to close it. I know I would miss the kids dearly, but I felt that was the time to move to other activities that allowed me to grow personally and professionally. As part of the plan, I will enhance my educational website, and I am happy to announce that I will incorporate in 2024 more videos, including storytelling, games and Spanish classes. As part of the activities, I did my first signing this year, announced that the library got my books, that I have started a YouTube educational channel, and I did, as part of the Christmas celebration, a reading of one of my books in the Consulate of Peru. Also, as a personal challenge, I have read 107 books. I know that this is only the beginning of this journey as a writer, as a teacher and as a human being. I started this year also full of hope, plans, and ideas to improve my work one day at a time. And try to make this world a better place to live. Those are my goals for this coming year and finishing my Spanish teaching degree. Happy New Year, everybody.

Absolutely, reading to children from a very young age is a way to instill a love for books and storytelling. Also, it helps build their language skills, stimulates their imagination, and creates a strong bond between the reader and the child. Besides, being a good role model by demonstrating your love for reading reinforces the idea that reading is enjoyable and valuable. #readubg #kidsbooks #childrenbooks #child #momofinstagram
Deluge, the people that melt in the rain, by Carolyn Watson Dublish, is the first book of that series. In this comic 12-year-old Laura, a girl who lives in Seattle, is coming with her mom to a strange town. Her mom got a job with better pay in the hospital of Deluge. Offer that she can not refuse. When they arrived they saw that it was raining frogs—hundreds of them. What strange. Laura met her neighbour, a peculiar woman who told her about the town curse and that since she is here, she can not escape the curse or leave the town. On top of that, it rains in acid. So what can she do? Things turn weirder when she goes to school and learns more about this town and its curse, but could things get weirder? It is a very imaginative story with a lot of suspense. I am looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book. #books #childrenbooks #children #booksreview #kidsbooksreview.
