Deluge, the people that melt in the rain, by Carolyn Watson Dublish, is the first book of that series. In this comic 12-year-old Laura, a girl who lives in Seattle, is coming with her mom to a strange town. Her mom got a job with better pay in the hospital of Deluge. Offer that she can not refuse. When they arrived they saw that it was raining frogs—hundreds of them. What strange. Laura met her neighbour, a peculiar woman who told her about the town curse and that since she is here, she can not escape the curse or leave the town. On top of that, it rains in acid. So what can she do? Things turn weirder when she goes to school and learns more about this town and its curse, but could things get weirder? It is a very imaginative story with a lot of suspense.
