Hello,
 
I am very happy to announce that “Lou and his Mane” my first children’s book has been published by FriesenPress.
 
 Social and emotional skills are essential to manage our emotions and become connected with others. These skills begin to  develop at very young age  and according with  B. Rhodes,  kids with healthy social,  emotional skills are more likely to succeed in school, work and life.
 
As an educator, a childcare provider  and psychologist, with more than thirty years of experience,  children’s social, emotional and educational developments have always been my priority.
 
“Lou and his Mane” reflects that.  This is a story about a  little Lion who wakes up  and realizes  that his worst  fear has come true.  He has lost his mane!  When Lou realizes that his mane is lost, he seeks help and finds it in his friends who help him look for the lost mane. Although funny and simple to understand for young audience, it gives plenty of opportunities to parents, teachers and caregivers to talk about the child’s emotions and social skills. Skills and values that today more than ever, are important in order to face our challenging world.
